dakshin is one of those under-advertised indian eateries located upper east side. a super alternative for the indian food lovers that have been pummelled with enough baluchis around the city. we have been going there for a while now and figured its time to blog them. the kadai chicken with an order of parantha and roti was enough for two people. they have a decent selection of wines and beers. but kingfisher and taj are recommended with this particular curry. the service is friendly, but the music is tacky as usual. wonder why indian restaurants dont play some hip music!
fyi: if you are around the area you may want to walk down to the museum mile to check the several art exhibits!
